The Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative - Online Auction Mar 1 - Mar 10
Online auction 1st to the 10th of every month The Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative (www.AlzQuilts.org) is a national, grassroots charity whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research. The AAQI auctions and sells donated quilts, and sponsors a nationally touring exhibit of quilts about Alzheimers. The AAQI has raised more than $682,000 since January 2006.
One of the highlights of Dallas Quilt Celebration will be the “live” Miniature Quilt Auction held on Saturday March 10 at 1:30 p.m. 2012 will mark the second year of our "online auction" component. Minis received by February 1, 2012 will be featured in the online auction, as well as the live auction. The online auction will start March 1st and will help generate interest in your mini, as well as the auction, and will allow bidders and collectors unable to attend the "live event" a chance to place a "proxy" bid.
