14,562 - I Miss You Already

Varda Main

Width: 9" Length: 12"

Materials/Techniques: Cotton and tulle fabrics, raw edge appliqué with satin stitch and thread painting. There is an ink jet print on the cotton and tulle.

Artist Statement: I used multiple layers of printed fabric to both give the hands a three-dimensional look while also conveying how a loved one with Alzheimer's slips away. This quilt was made for the Dallas Fiber Artists AAQI challenge "Connections."

Dedication: To my dad, who has late stage Alzheimer's.

This quilt has a Split Sleeve.

Auction ends on August 10, 2013 at 10 p.m. (22:00 military time) Central Standard Time. Winners will be notified by email with payment instructions when the auction is over. Payment (Visa or MasterCard) is due by August 15th. Winners pay shipping via Priority Mail, plus insurance and 6% sales tax (MI residents only). Please read descriptions carefully. Note quilt size.
