Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club is the annual host for events surrounding a large golf tournament that supports the Warrior and Family Support Center (WFSC) located at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. WFSC provides coordinated services to service men and women, next-of-kin, and extended family members through the use of a privately financed facility that offers them a first class environment for recreation, education, dining, emotional support, answers to their questions, and to extend their rehabilitation process which involves learning to cope with war related disabilities as individuals, couples or families. It is staffed with a group of U.S. Army personnel and volunteers and relies heavily on private donations for daily operations.
