Church Name: Union United Methodist Church

The Quilt's Story: A fellow church member gave me a photo of a similar quilt and asked if I could make one like it. After deciding on some changes, I created a pattern. The "Cross and the Flame" has hung in the chapel at Union UMC since 2009. When a decision was made to close the church on June 4, 2017, I was given an opportunity to reclaim the quilt. I decided that it should be sold and the proceeds used to bring hope and assistance to others needing it. I am confident that Church World Service will do just that.
