Materials/Techniques: Cotton and tulle fabrics, raw edge appliqué with satin stitch and thread painting. There is an ink jet print on the cotton and tulle.

Artist Statement: I used multiple layers of printed fabric to both give the hands a three-dimensional look while also conveying how a loved one with Alzheimer's slips away. This quilt was made for the Dallas Fiber Artists AAQI challenge "Connections."

Dedication: To my dad, who has late stage Alzheimer's.

This quilt has a Split Sleeve.
