The Senior Source

Welcome to the 17th Annual Miniature Quilt Auction Presented by the Quilter’s Guild of Dallas, Inc. Proceeds from this years event will benefit the Senior Source

Miniature quilts are popular among both quilters and collectors because miniature quilts have a unique appeal. For the quilter, it is a challenge to create and construct a design on such a reduced scale. Miniatures give the quilter the opportunity to stretch and try new techniques without the time and cost commitment of its full-sized counterpart. The quilt collector marvels at the beauty and workmanship of the miniature and finds many opportunities to display these unique pieces in their home or office. Collectors also find the value of the pieces grow over the years.

The quilts made available for you on this website have been generously donated by members of our guild and others, and represent countless hours of time and excellence in workmanship.

The Quilter’s Guild of Dallas has a long history of supporting child- and family-oriented charities. The proceeds from this year’s auction will benefit the Senior Source.

The mission of The Senior Source, a non-profit organization serving seniors in the Dallas area since 1961, is to improve the quality of life for older adults. The Senior Source is a United Way partner agency, with a staff of 50, an annual budget of $3 million and a service delivery system of 8 programs exclusively for older adults. The proceeds from this auction will be awarded to the Senior Source to recruit and train more Volunteer Advocates to serve the very needy, frail and vulnerable population. These Advocates visit and improve the quality of life of vulnerable elders who can no longer make safe, appropriate decisions for themselves. Volunteers may pay bills, allocate funds and safeguard elder’s assets.
