Artis Orbis by Goebel Procelain Vase ~ Summer 1900 by Alphonse Mucha. Renowned as a key figure in the Art Nouveau movement, Czech painter Alphonse Mucha influenced an entire generation of artists with his depictions of beautiful young women in pastels, often surrounded by lush flowers. After volunteering to produce a poster for actress Sarah Bernhardt's role as Gismonda in a Parisian theatre production, Mucha's work became an overnight sensation. This porcelain vase is Summer 1900 from The Seasons series. Exquisite Artis Orbis vase by Goebel is hand painted porcelain with gold accents, with the painting on both sides of the vase, so it's perfect for displaying an arrangement of flowers at any angle.
