This is the tenth plate in the Schmid series inspired by Sister Berta Hummel.  "A special part of becoming a little girl is having a doll to share secrets with.  Berta Hummel created this motif during her early years of her artistic development, perhaps remembering one of her own childish confidantes."  1981 Mother's Day Plate is Tenth edition at 7 1/2" diameter.  Comes in original box and Certificate of Authenticity.
